Weed Society History

Society Activities

The Society was founded in 1966 and its activities include:

• Hosting major conferences.
• Making annual awards to student for weed collections and projects.
• Providing awards for travel to attend the triennial Australian Weeds Conferences.
• Conducting community workshops on weeds to assist in management and raise awareness.
• Providing policy advice to State and Federal authorities.
