Welcome

The Weed Society of Victoria is an organisation for people interested in any aspect of weeds. This might include: terrestrial or aquatic weeds; the biology, ecology, and management of weeds; their place in the environment; their benefits and uses; or their place in history and art.
There is no restriction on Membership of the Society; if you have an active interest in any aspect of weeds, then the Weed Society of Victoria is the place for you.

Make your 2012 membership of the Weed Society a positive experience by getting involved

The 2012 year will be a busy one for the Society, including the Annual General Meeting & Seminars in mid-April, and the 18th Australasian Weeds Conference in early October. The organising and hosting of these types of events are an important part of the Society’s activities, and their success is often the result of a dedicated team of Executive Committee members and others working behind the scenes.

18th Australasian Weeds Conference 2012

The 18th Australasian Weeds Conference will be held at the Sebel and Citigate Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia from 8 – 11 October 2012. The Conference will showcase recent advances in weed science, extension and policy across Australian and international communities and landscapes.

Submitted Abstracts are now being processed, and selected presenters will join our impressive list of Keynote Speakers for the Conference.
